The Ministry of Social Concerns
The activities in this ministry are defined by the committees which operate for outreach services.
Counseling Service
provides counseling services by members who have training or special aptitude in the area of counseling.
Healthcare Committee
includes members who are healthcare personnel who provide screening for blood pressure, diabetes, sickle cell anemia, etc. along with information on many topics to promote health and well-being of the membership. The group also administers the first aid room and provides first aid services during morning and other worship activities. -*4-
Benevolence Committee
gives assistance to persons in crisis situations who request aid.
Law and Justice Committee
focuses on legal issues and concerns in the community.
Social and Political Action
calls attention to serious social problems and leads or participates in appropriate protest action. Group sponsors forums, debates, etc., to enlighten members and the community on vital issues.
